Along with 'Spiritualist Chatroom' another website with no activity in a month of Sundays.
How things have changed.

Difficult to tell - as the forum is completely private and all topics are hidden from public view.

Another completely closed forum, accessible to registered members only.
I really don't see what is the point of an online forum entirely unavailable for online public viewing.
Would not that sort of gathering be more suitable to FaceBook and the like?

Perhaps that's precisely why ... No-one knows what the heck they're there for!

Re: Physical Mediumship Forum
I checked the first website a few minutes ago and there was nothing happening. I posted on the second at the end of January responding to another member's remarks but that's about all there's been in a long time.Caffy wrote:mac wrote:Nowadays no aspects of physical mediumship.....

I don't know if the need for prior registration makes any difference to potential users taking a look - it is, after all, simple enough to register.
My guess is that both subjects have few followers interested in website forums compared with special interest Facebook pages if there are any - I don't do Facebook so I wouldn't be able to check without using my wife's account.

But browsers happening upon either of those forums are not going to have a clue what they are about, what's being discussed - if anything, whether or not it will be of interest to them. There is nothing visible to tweak anyone's interest in registering. "All aspects of physical mediumship" - Many folk will not even know what "physical mediumship" is.

Re: Physical Mediumship Forum
Maybe but those who don't know what PM is are not very likely anyway to stumble on such a website in the vastness of cyber space. Chicken and egg I suppose....Caffy wrote:bobjob wrote:I don't know if the need for prior registration makes any difference to potential users taking a look - it is, after all, simple enough to register.

There's always PM4U too for the seeker. Even harder to register as I recall.

Ah, but at least with PM4U, you have an inkling of what the site is about. You get tantalising snippets of what's being discussed, almost like looking through the window, and if you want to know more, you can go to the front door and ring the bell, someone will answer and invite you inside to join the party and then if you like it you can use your key to come in the door any time you wish. The view through the window is almost like an invitation, a welcome on the mat, an incentive for anyone who's interested to come and register - whereas the other two mentioned give the reader the feeling that they're not wanted; the door is locked, the windows are barred and shuttered, nothing to see here, this is a private event for a chosen few - we don't want strangers interfering in our private affairs.
